Michael Cufaro

Michael is the Managing Partner of TCG. He has worked in the Talent Development and Training business for more than 25 years.  TCG was formed in 2012 to address the needs of corporations to run learning as a business and to create and provide effective learning strategies and solutions that have a positive impact on business results. 

 

He has a unique blend of background in learning, having worked for training companies such as SkillSoft and GP Strategies supporting large corporate accounts designing and providing effective human capital development solutions for technology, consumer packaging, healthcare, retail, services and SaaS companies.  He was an innovator in the Managed Services industry developing and implementing large training outsourced business solutions for Fortune 50 corporations.

 

He has worked with business executives to develop Organizational Learning Plans to develop their human capital and focus and prioritize the application of learning strategies that help achieve measurable business results.  

 

Michael has also worked on the corporate side of the learning business, leading McKesson’s healthcare IT employee and customer learning business. He led a transformation of their training strategy from primarily leader led to a blended technology solution managing a capital development budget of over $7.5M. He also grew the for-profit customer training business by 167% over six years.  Most recently, Michael was the Vice President and Global Consulting Practice Leader for the Apollo Education Group’s Professional Services Practice.

 

He led Underwriters Labs global university and implemented process and technology to help scale and grow the standards training business.  As Vice President, Global Talent Management Learning and Delivery for First Data Corporation, was instrumental in restructuring their sales training strategy to speed time to competency, reduce sales force attrition and improve sales revenue.

As a professional with a proven track record, he has spoken at Corporate University week on how to run the business of training within the corporate enterprise along with several other industry conferences. Michael is a member of the Kettering Executive Network in Atlanta, and serves as VP of Finance for the Atlanta Chapter of ISPI.
